Privacy policy
Last updated .
This policy explains what information circuitsymbols.com ("Circuit Symbols") collects when you visit, why it is collected, and the choices you have. The site has no accounts, sign-ups or forms.
When you visit
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages and keep the site secure, Cloudflare processes technical details of each request, such as your IP address, your browser and the page you asked for. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and to see which pages people find useful. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect the pages you view, how long you stay, the site that sent you here, your device and browser, and your approximate location, such as your city. It does not tell us who you are.
Google handles this information as described in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. To stop Google Analytics collecting data about your visits on any site, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising
The site may show ads served by Google AdSense. When ads are shown:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some other vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info, or in Europe at youronlinechoices.eu.
Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies. Cookies may be set by:
- Google Analytics: the
_gacookies, which tell one visit from another. - Google advertising, when ads are shown: the cookies listed in Google's advertising cookie policy.
- Cloudflare: a short-lived security cookie, set only when it needs to tell visitors from automated traffic.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Every page still works without them.
Settings saved in your browser
Two settings are saved in your browser's local storage: the drawing style you chose (US or IEC) and light or dark mode. They are not cookies, they are never sent to us, and you can clear them in your browser at any time.
If you email us
If you write to support@circuitsymbols.com, your address and message are used only to reply and to act on what you asked, such as fixing a mistake. They are kept only as long as that takes, and you will not be added to any mailing list.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the personal data held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to its use. Apart from emails you send, Circuit Symbols holds no personal data about you. For data held by Google or Cloudflare, use the links above, or write to us and we will point you to the right place.
Children
The site is a reference for a general audience. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
